Summer Program 2008, which is organized by Global TEFL Network, Zhejiang University, China

Where I am needed most

The same school I was at before, such as Hangzhou camp, Taizhou camp, Wenzhou camp, Ningbo camp, Jinhua camp, Quzhou camp, Huzhou camp, Lishui camp, Zhuji camp, Jiaxing camp, Shaoxing camp and Yiwu camp, etc.

I agree to teach in:

Program A: From July 7 to July 20 (2-week program)

Program B: From July 7 to July 27 (3-week program)

Program C: From July 7 to August 3 (4-week program)

Program D: From July 14 to August 3 (3-week program)

I agree to accept:

6 hours a day and 6 days a week with Sundays off and one or two tour of the local city or towns for each program

I agree to accept the salary of:

A: Rmb3600 yuan for 2-week program from July 7 to July 20 as the complete compensation for the term of the contract

B: Rmb 5100 yuan for 3-week program from July 7 to July 27 as the complete compensation for the term of the contract

C: Rmb6600 yuan for 4-week program from July 7 to August 3 as the complete compensation for the term of the contract

D: Rmb 5100 yuan for 3-week program from July 14 to August 3 as the complete compensation for the term of the contract

I agree to accept:

Free camp cafeteria meals for the whole program or a possible meal subsidy of Rmb 600 yuan for program A decided by the camp school

Free camp cafeteria meals for the whole program or a possible meal subsidy of Rmb 900 yuan for program B or D decided by the camp school

Free camp cafeteria meals for the whole program or a possible meal subsidy of Rmb 1200 yuan for program C decided by the camp school

I agree to accept:

The 3 free meals a day that will be provided by the school or I will accept the meal allowance provided (only if necessary). I realize that the meal allowance is not a choice it is merely an alternative.

I agree to accept:

The free (shared) accommodation near or inside the school grounds. In addition, I will agree to accept the (shared) accommodation provided one or two days before and after the program (in Hangzhou). I agree to be responsible for the room and board of my friends or family members who will accompany me (non-teaching staff).

I agree to be responsible for:

The cost of any additional expenses incurred in any hotel room that may be provided for me as part of the Summer Program (e.g. Internet, laundry, etc.). I fully understand that these services are not a part of the contract.

I agree to accept that:

I will not be reimbursed for any expenses (e.g. using the Internet Bar) or for any airfare or transportation to and from Hangzhou before or after the program.

I agree to be responsible for:

My own health insurance and my own safety during the program

I agree to accept that:

If I leave the program prior to the end of the contract (for personal reasons) I will compensate all the losses related thereto or find a substitute for myself

I agree to accept:

The confidentiality of the content of this contract between Global TEFL Network and myself.

I agree to accept that:

During the contract time, if I leave the teaching post without permission (prior to the end of the program) my salary will be forfeited.

I agree to accept that:

If I violate the law in China, Global TEFL Network has the right to dismiss me and all my benefits and salary shall be forfeited

I agree to accept that:

If I am reported, by the school or two thirds of the class, not qualified for the teaching, Global TEFL Network reserves the rights to dismiss me, thus, my salary will be deducted according to the number of days left and I am willing to take all related loses.

I agree to accept that:

Should I fail to arrive at the place designated by this contract to fulfill my mission stated in this contract, I shall be liable to Global TEFL Network for their costs and expenses incurred due to my failure. This will include their costs and expenses for finding a replacement. I am aware that a lawyer in my resident country will pursue compensation via Global TEFL Network.

I agree to accept that:

Should Global TEFL Network fail to provide any teaching opportunity after I arrive in China according to the contract, I will get the contracted salary and leave for myself
